A group of avid birders recently gathered at the estate for a bird watching walk led by the renowned International bird guide, Marc Cronje. Despite the crisp winter chill, the group set out with high hopes, and they were not disappointed.

The adventure began at the estate’s gate, where the birders were greeted by a vibrant congregation of sunbirds feeding on the flowering trees. Witnessing these birds in their beautiful breeding plumages was a delightful start to the day. The group was also fortunate to spot African green pigeons, which are often elusive. A clear sighting of these shy birds was a special highlight.
