NUTS ABOUT THE PROGRESS OF OUR MACADAMIA TREES!
The first mac harvest was in 2018 where each tree produced only a few nuts. As the trees have grown so the production has followed and in 2019 there was a good crop. 2020 the orchard was unfortunately hit by a hail storm that affected production. All the proceeds to date have been re-invested back into the macadamias and we are looking forward to reaching break-even point in the 2021 season.
The Likweti orchards is farmed with sustainability at heart to ensure that we maximise the effect on our people, planet, and profit. The good rainfall we have had early in 2021 bodes well for the coming seasons. We look forward to the coming years as the trees grow to reach maturity and to eventually bring sustainability in real terms.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
