2023 certainly has been a busy and a thriving year at Likweti Bushveld Farm Estate. We looked back on some of our favourite highlights.
Phase 3 – Likweti Views:
2023 has been a remarkable year for Likweti Bushveld Farm Estate, especially for our third phase, Likweti Views. Surpassing the 50% sold mark has been nothing short of exceptional and a significant milestone, showcasing the growing interest and demand for this unique residential development.
The estate has witnessed tremendous growth with the completion and occupation of three developer houses in Phase 3, all sold before their finalization. As we look forward, the construction of the fourth Developer house (Ptn 22) in Phase 3 is slated to commence early in the upcoming year.
Currently, five homes are completed and occupied in phase 3, with three more currently under construction and several new projects starting soon.
One hectare stands are now selling from R1.1 million at Likweti Views, phase 3.
Estate Expansion and Global Recognition:
Beyond the success of Likweti Views, the estate has welcomed a number of new families over the last year. We also experienced a surge in interest from international buyers. The recent purchases of stands in Phase 3 by international buyers is a testament to Likweti’s global recognition and desirability as a premier wildlife residential estate in the Lowveld.
Wildlife and Environmental Management:
In line with our commitment to environmental stewardship, Likweti Bushveld Farm Estate witnessed the birth of three giraffe calves in 2023 alongside new offspring from zebra, nyala, kudu, and wildebeest. Our dedication to wildlife care and effective environmental management remains a core priority.
Macadamia Orchard and Sustainability:
Celebrating a record-breaking harvest, the 17-hectare income-generating Macadamia orchard stands as a testament to Likweti’s innovative estate management. This unique feature not only distinguishes Likweti from other estates but also contributes to its sustainability ethos, making it an attractive investment opportunity.
Awards and Recognition:
Adding to our pride, Likweti was once again recognized as one of South Africa’s top wildlife estates. Our inclusion in the prestigious list by “New World Wealth” for the top 10 wildlife estates in South Africa reinforces our standing as a secure estate rich in wildlife and offering an exclusive lifestyle within a secure and tranquil environment.
Bird Walks and Unique Sightings:
Our guided bird walks continue to be a source of discovery and wonder. Led by expert guide, Marc Cronje, bird watchers witnessed both remarkable and rare sightings in 2023. Our most memorable experience was spotting an African Cuckoo-Hawk on one of the walks which is not a common species for the lowveld and was a life bird for most of the group. With a bird list that continues to grow, currently boasting 254 species, every walk is a new discovery.

At Likweti Bushveld Farm Estate, the commitment to environmental responsibility and wise investment aligns with our philosophy of creating a legacy for future generations. We invite you to immerse yourself in the unique lifestyle that Likweti offers, experience the wonder of nature firsthand, and consider joining our community of residents.
In conclusion, the year 2023 has been a testament to Likweti Bushveld Farm Estate’s growth, sustainability, and global acclaim. As we venture into the future, we remain dedicated to preserving the environment, nurturing wildlife, and offering an unparalleled lifestyle experience.
